About Us

Clotile and Norbert Farkas are a dynamic duo whose serendipitous meeting on the iconic American Queen Steamboat in New Orleans sparked a harmonious partnership that would transcend borders and cultures. They’ve performed across the Southern States and Europe, including esteemed festivals such as Satchmo SummerFest and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. As leading soloist and in-house double bass player, respectively, they honed their craft in a vibrant melting pot of musical genres, from the Great American songbook and classic jazz to rock ’n’ roll and blues.

After many years of creating and performing in the United States, they relocated to Hungary, Norbert’s homeland, where they continue to weave their artistry into new cultural landscapes. Their music stands as a testament to the power of love, art, and exchange, inviting audiences to experience the rich heritage of jazz and the blues infused with their unique perspective, warmth, and passion.

Clotile Farkas

Meet Clotile Yana, the award-winning American jazz vocalist and actress with a voice that will melt your heart. Raised in the musically acclaimed Bonner Family, Clotile’s soul-rich sound is a passport to the world – from Broadway stages to international tours in Brazil, Argentina, China, and South Korea.

She’s brought iconic roles to life, including Celie in The Color Purple’s Broadway National Tour, and starred in acclaimed films like Black Pioneer, Jingle Belle, and Jane and Emma. When she’s not captivating audiences, Clotile teaches all styles of singing and vocals to students worldwide, and creates music with her award-winning composing bassist and partner, Norbert Farkas.

Norbert Farkas

Norbert Farkas is a Hungarian jazz bassist with an international career. He started his musical journey in Nagykanizsa and pursued jazz at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. After moving to New York City, he met his partner at a Mississippi riverboat concert.

Then he settled in New Orleans for several years, immersing himself in the city’s rich jazz scene. He performed at notable festivals like the Mardi Gras Jazz Festival and French Quarter Fest, sharing stages with talented musicians and his favorite singer, Clotile. His style blends tradition with a solid, soulful groove. Norbert now tours globally, bringing his expertise and love for jazz to audiences everywhere.

Clotile is truly at home in jazz — singing with an elemental force and an authentic jazz voice. Her vibrant, joyful, and effortlessly charming stage presence pulls you in from the first note, never once feeling forced — and for that, she deserves special praise.
